Storyboards and Shotlists

Starting to Storyboard:

Today we started storyboarding our opening scene and we all had different roles to play in its production. My role was to come up with ideas on the story line as well as the technical elements such as camera movements, shots and sound.

I think i did well in this role because it allowed me to tell my group how i pictured the idea coming to life when I first thought of it. It also allowed for me to be quite creative as I came up with a number of shots that I believe to be quite unique and exciting.

Continuing to Storyboard:

Today we continued to storyboard our ideas for our opening scene. I continued to contribute my ideas for the storyline, shot types and sound. I also had to come up with a good title for our film. These were my initial ideas:
Unhinged
Released
Relinquished

I then pitched my ideas to my group and we all decided that the best idea was "Released" because it linked in well to an ides I had for later on in the film, and it also ties in well to the fact that the main character is being released from a mental asylum. I then worked with Dom to choose a font for the title. Dom picked out a range of different font styled which I helped to narrow down, and then he chose the final design.
